India Post has published the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Merit List 2026 on its official website. Candidates who applied for the GDS recruitment process can now check their selection status online through the India Post portal.
The merit list has been prepared through a system-generated process based on candidates’ performance in the Class 10 (Secondary School Examination) conducted by recognized boards. Marks obtained in the examination, including the conversion of grades or points into percentage scores, have been calculated up to four decimal places for preparing the merit list.

Selection Process
Applicants have been shortlisted solely on the basis of the system-generated merit list. However, inclusion in the merit list does not guarantee final selection. The appointment of shortlisted candidates will be subject to the successful verification of original documents and fulfillment of all eligibility requirements.
