French automaker Citroen has officially launched the all-new eC3X electric vehicle in the Indian market. The EV is available with a Battery as a Service (BaaS) model, starting at Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom), while the battery subscription cost has been set at Rs 2.26 per kilometre. Customers can also opt for the battery-inclusive version, priced at Rs 10.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the electric crossover have now commenced across the country.
Exterior Design
The Citroen eC3X carries forward the styling and overall silhouette of its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart. The front fascia features LED daytime running lights, Citroen’s signature grille, fog lamps, and a rugged-looking skid plate. On the sides, the EV comes equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels and prominent black body cladding, enhancing its crossover appeal.
Citroen is offering the eC3X in six exterior paint options: Polar White, Steel Grey, Perla Nera Black, Garnet Red, Deep Forest Green, and Cosmo Blue.
Interior and Features
Inside, the eC3X maintains a familiar cabin layout while incorporating EV-specific design elements. The dashboard receives electric blue accents, and the seats are wrapped in premium Tone Lama Leatherette upholstery.
The vehicle is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other key features include a wireless smartphone charger, electrochromic inside rearview mirror (IRVM), JBL premium audio system, automatic climate control, and multiple convenience features.
On the safety front, the eC3X offers ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, six airbags, and several advanced protection features.
Battery, Performance, and Driving Range
Powering the Citroen eC3X is a 29.2 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor producing 57 hp and 143 Nm of peak torque. The EV supports DC fast charging technology, allowing the battery to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 57 minutes.
According to Citroen, the eC3X delivers a claimed driving range of up to 320 km on a full charge, making it suitable for both city commutes and daily driving needs.
