Peddi Box Office Collection Day 1: Ram Charan’s much-awaited sports drama Peddi finally arrived in theatres on June 4 and has started its box office journey on a strong note. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film generated massive excitement before release, and the opening day numbers clearly reflect the audience’s enthusiasm.
The movie was released across nearly 3,000 screens worldwide and received an impressive response, especially from Telugu-speaking regions. Thanks to strong advance bookings and positive early reviews, Peddi has already emerged as one of the biggest openers of the year.
Strong Opening Day Collection for Peddi
According to early box office estimates, Peddi collected around ₹32.92 crore net in India by 8 PM on its first day. The Telugu version contributed the majority of the earnings, bringing in approximately ₹30.10 crore net.
The film also benefited from paid preview shows held on Wednesday, which added more than ₹18.50 crore to its earnings. With previews and opening-day collections combined, the movie’s total collection has already crossed ₹51 crore.
Advance booking performance was equally impressive. The film generated nearly ₹20 crore through advance ticket sales, highlighting the huge anticipation among fans before release.
Telugu Version Shines, Hindi Market Starts Slow
The Telugu version of Peddi witnessed excellent occupancy throughout the day, with more than 60% occupancy recorded during morning and afternoon shows. This strong response helped drive the film’s overall box office success.
However, the Hindi dubbed version did not perform as expected on opening day. Despite Ram Charan’s popularity across India and the presence of actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani, the Hindi version managed only around ₹2.26 crore by 8 PM. Occupancy remained relatively low at around 14%.
Industry experts believe the film may still see growth in the Hindi market over the weekend if positive word-of-mouth continues.
Peddi Beats Several Major Films on Day One
With its impressive opening figures, Peddi has already surpassed the first-day domestic collections of several successful films. The movie has reportedly crossed the opening numbers of Dhurandhar and Gadar 2, placing itself among the strongest openers of recent times.
The film is also expected to become the biggest solo opening of Ram Charan’s career. His previous release Game Changer opened strongly but failed to maintain momentum due to mixed audience reactions. In contrast, Peddi has received encouraging reviews, which could help it sustain its box office run in the coming days.
Cast and Crew of Peddi
Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas. The film is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. Apart from Ram Charan in the lead role, the film features Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani in important roles. The sports drama has attracted attention for its emotional storytelling, action sequences, and powerful performances.
