Muzaffarpur, Bihar: A shocking incident has emerged from Muzaffarpur, where a newlywed bride ran away with her lover, stealing ₹8 lakh worth of jewelry and ₹2 lakh in cash from her in-laws’ house. The incident occurred in the Madipur area of the Kazi Mohammadpur police station limits and has left the family in turmoil.
What Happened?
On November 25, Rahul Kumar got married to a young woman from the Ganga Bridge area of Vaishali district. Everything seemed fine until December 5, just 10 days after their wedding.
That day, Rahul left for work, and his mother went out to buy vegetables. Between 1 PM and 2 PM, the bride mysteriously disappeared. When Rahul’s mother returned home and found her missing, she immediately informed her son. Upon searching the house, they discovered that the bride had taken not only her wedding jewelry but also her mother-in-law’s ornaments and ₹2 lakh in cash from the almirah before fleeing.
The Lover’s Connection
Rahul filed an FIR at the Kazi Mohammadpur police station. During the investigation, it was revealed that the bride was in a relationship with a man named Satyam Kumar, a resident of Rajapakar village in Vaishali. Before the marriage, she had previously eloped with him but was brought back by her family, who then arranged her wedding with Rahul.
When Rahul went to Satyam’s house to confront him, he found that Satyam and his entire family had fled.
Police Investigation Underway
Kazi Mohammadpur Station House Officer (SHO) Ravi Gupta confirmed the registration of the FIR. The police are currently tracing the whereabouts of the bride and her lover using mobile tower locations.
Social Media Buzz
The incident has become a hot topic on social media, with many referring to the bride as a “runaway bride” and comparing the case to previous “looteri dulhan” (con artist bride) incidents.
